No light can get in, and you quickly forget it's on your face. Once you find the exact right spot though. Otherwise it will sort of bend itself and shift to let light in as you move. You also can't put the Velcro on too tight! It's meant to be secure on your face, but not tight or pressing. It's nearly impossible to do it by yourself. Overall been using them for 3-4 years? The secret to the cups is placing them where you want them covering your eyes and then having your partner/a friend drape the head strap across so they attach in the right place. I just ordered my second manta pro because my first one is barely hanging in there lol. I have a manta pro and have since it first came out, and had the original manta before that. And honestly, I’m still not sure any of these are that much better than the low profile version of the Alaska Bear structureds. I keep both the Manta and Tempurpedic on my headboard, but don’t tend to use either now unless I’m specifically day sleeping or the face pressure sounds soothing. So the Sleep has an (overly) high price tag but they do stand behind it. I sent them a picture asking for a replacement wrap (they sell them separately) and instead they shot me a whole new full box. I will say this for Manta-the edging started coming off in the first week on one little part but it was totally cosmetic and wouldn’t have gotten worse. The Tempurpedic stays on, but is super heavy in comparison. So it blocks light great for me, after adjusting the cups, but comes off overnight. The problem I run into with it is that the gripper pad on the back only exposes a small portion when cinched down, and the thing doesn’t quite go low enough to be under the bump on my skull where it’d be held by geometry. Manta worked much better for me than you.
